Is the 25mm Correction Pro safe for beginners?

Yes, it is a dual action (DA) polisher, which is much safer and more forgiving than a rotary. The large 25mm throw corrects fast, but the DA motion greatly reduces the risk of burning paint when used with proper pads and products.

What makes the 25mm throw different from other polishers?

Most DA polishers are 8mm, 15mm, or 21mm. The 25mm orbit covers more surface area per pass and increases correction by about 20% compared to typical long-throw tools, which means fewer passes and faster defect removal.

Can I use it for both cutting and finishing?

Yes. Paired with a cutting pad and compound, the large 25mm throw is very effective at removing oxidation and reviving dull, chalky paint, especially on neglected daily drivers and older vehicles.

Will it take out swirl marks and light scratches in the clear coat?

That is exactly what it excels at. The long throw covers more area per pass, making quick work of wash-induced swirls, light to moderate scratches, and towel marring when used with appropriate pads and polishes.

Can I use it on dark or soft paint without leaving holograms?

Yes. As a dual action tool, it's designed to finish down hologram-free. On dark or softer paints, switch to a softer finishing pad and polish for your last step to achieve a deep, clear gloss without haze.

Is it safe for use on ceramic-coated vehicles?

Light polishing with a fine pad and finishing polish can be used to remove minor defects on coated vehicles, but understand that any machine polishing can reduce or remove existing protection. For coated cars, reserve the machine for correction work, not routine "cleaning."

Can it help with water spots or mineral etching on the exterior?

For water spots that have etched into the clear coat, machine polishing is often the only effective fix. The 25mm throw, combined with a suitable pad and polish, can level out mild to moderate etching on paint and some glass surfaces.
