You only need one layer of DIY Detail Hydr8 Ceramic Coating for long-term paint protection. But if you want to combine the benefits of two different coatings, The Stack lets you stack ceramic coatings for enhanced gloss, slickness, self-cleaning performance, and water-spot resistance.

The Stack pairs DIY Detail Hydr8 Ceramic Coating with DIY Detail 1 Year Graphene Ceramic Spray Coating. Instead of applying multiple coats of the same formula, this ceramic coating kit lets you apply a compatible graphene top layer over Hydr8 during a specific bonding window. The result combines Hydr8’s durable ceramic protection with the 1-Year Graphene Coating’s slick feel, warm wax-like appearance, and water-spot resistance.

The included DIY Detail 1-Year Graphene Ceramic Coating is PFAS-free and uses instant-bond technology to simplify application and leveling. Its TEOS-based formula is designed to help reduce clogging and improve resistance to fracturing, giving enthusiasts and professionals a more reliable ceramic-coating application experience.

After application, the vehicle can return to service after one hour, including in rain. Wait at least three days before washing with DIY Detail Incredible Suds or DIY Detail Rinse Less Wash; a full seven-day cure period is ideal before routine washing when possible.

When to Apply the 1-Year Graphene Top Layer

Apply the 3-Year Graphene Ceramic Coating first. Then apply the 1-Year Graphene Ceramic Coating 1 to 8 hours later.

• Before 1 hour: Applying the 1-Year coating too soon may disrupt the 3-Year base coating.
• 1 to 8 hours: This is the recommended stacking window, allowing the coatings to interact and enhance the combined finish.
• After 8 hours: You can still apply the 1-Year Graphene Ceramic Coating, but it acts as a topcoat rather than a true coating stack.
